Members are invited to share their expertise and enthusiasm for writing at Writers’ Guild of Texas meetings, workshops, and on our website. Please strengthen our community of writers by letting us know about your books, blogs, websites, professional accomplishments, projects, and writing passions. You may include links to your websites, your photo, a bio (about 200-300 words), and images of your book covers with a short description. However, because we are a non-profit organization, sales and overt solicitation of sales are not permitted on this site.

Use the Contact Us Form to request a member page. The webmaster will respond with instructions for submitting your content. The Writers’ Guild of Texas board retains the right to reject or remove any material deemed incompatible with our organization’s focus.

      Pat Hayes is a deacon in the Catholic Church and the author of one book (so far) Top Ten Ways to Build a Wonderful Marriage. The book is available  in multiple Catholic book stores in the DFW area. It has been selling so well that a second printing had to be ordered.     Kat Smith is the author of The Naked Author, The Book Seller’s List, Publishing Step by Step, Love the Vicious Cycle, with current projects ranging from four more books and three screenplays. She co-hosted a morning radio show for 4 years with ABC Radio Networks, Inc. and has been published internationally as well as domestically for numerous magazine and newspaper articles. She co-founded a writing seminar service and in 2004, launched TomKat Productions.

    Rita Dear is a retired accountant and an avid fiction reader. When the current novels were too graphic for her tastes, she challenged herself to write a novel on an adult subject, without digressing to the details currently being published.

    She sat down at the computer, created a setting and some characters, and started writing. When she finished, she had a ten book series – with a possibility of more volumes.

    Her sculpture master pointed out that her pieces have a story telling quality about them. This critique averted her attention to literature as a medium to express her creative passion.

    Laura Seaborn is the author of The Guardian Trilogy, a fantasy adventure written under the pen name, C.A. Rose. She has also written a young adult time travel novel, The Forbidden, under the pen name, Y.A. Rose. Laura combines her past military experience, love of gardening, and degrees in History to create these fantasy worlds.

    Writing and rubberstamping came together when Barb was offered assignment work for "RubberStampMadness," a national publication. She is also the author of OUT OF THE WRECKAGE: The Pop Stories, and an award-winning poet. She's had an assortment of poems and stories published in a variety of print magazines or on-line.

    She is known for her exuberant love of life, her pursuit of a sense of direction, and the liberties she often takes with reality--that is, she wakes up in a new world every day. She is also admired for her stick-to-itiveness, although of late, she mostly sticks to her unmopped kitchen floor.

    JohnnyTan Like a pot of the famous Louisiana gumbo, Johnny Tanʼs life has been richly flavored
    over the years by both his personal and professional life’s experiences.
    In April of 2007, Johnny began recording the various heartfelt memories and words of
    wisdom expressed and felt in a kitchen setting. The result is “From My Mamaʼs Kitchen -
    food for the soul, recipes for living.”
    Adopted at birth in Malaysia, Johnny Tan came to the United States in 1980 to attend
    college at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Here, he began his journey that led him into
    crossing paths with various women he admiringly referred to as “Mom.” It is the
    inspiration, support, and life skills Johnny received from his nine moms that have guided
    him towards his pursuit for personal excellence.
    In 2001, he left a successful career as the Chief Operating Officer of a major company
    to pursue a life-long dream of owning his own business. Today, The Reyna Collection®
    is a premier multi-resource group located in the Dallas Market Center.
    In April of 2009, Johnny launched From My Mama's Kitchen Talk Radio (FMMK Talk
    Radio) a weekly internet radio show to serve as a resource center for women and
    mothers everywhere by bringing inspirational, spiritual, and motivational stories from
    special guests of ordinary people especially mothers doing extraordinary things that
    makes a positive difference in our daily lives.
    Johnny is a member of the Writers’ Guild of Texas, and Speakers Co-op of Dallas. He is
    also an accomplished amateur ballroom dancer, and has performed with various dance
    partners for more than 10 years at various ballroom and charity events in Louisiana and
    Texas.
    He currently reside in Dallas, Texas.

    Christmas_Pumpkin_cover Debbie Reece is a an accidental author with one book released and two more in progress. Her humorous and touching stories are inspired by her energetic son, who is now in elementary school. Her first book, The Christmas Pumpkin, sold over 2400 copies in 2009 and won first place for a children's fiction book in the state of Texas.
